Douglas Van Oort
Executive Chairman &  Chief Executive Officer

Mr. VanOort has held executive leadership positions with several world-class Fortune 500 firms and rapidly-growing ventures during his 30-year career. He spent over 10 years in health-care services, first as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Corning Life Sciences, Inc. and then as Senior Vice President, Operations at Quest Diagnostics, Inc.
At Corning Life Sciences, he helped build and engineer the spinoff of two leading publically-traded NYSE life-science companies, Quest Diagnostics, Inc. and Covance, Inc, ultimately joining Quest at the time of the spin-off. During his tenure with Corning Life Sciences and then Quest, he was part of the team that successfully transformed the company into the largest independent clinical laboratory testing company in the United States, growing it from approximately $500 million in revenue in 1989 to approximately $1.5 billion in revenue in 1998.

During the past 10 years, Mr. VanOort founded, invested in, and built businesses in a variety of industries. He currently serves as Operating Partner at Summer Street Capital Partners, Managing Director of Conundrum Capital Partners, and as a member of the Board of several private-equity held companies.

Robert P. Gasparini, M.S., CLSp(CG), CLDir
President & Chief Scientific Officer

Bob Gasparini is President & Chief Scientific Officer for NeoGenomics Laboratories. Prior to assuming a key leadership role at NeoGenomics, Mr. Gasparini successfully held the Director position of the Genetics Division for US Pathology Labs, Inc. Prior to US Labs, Mr. Gasparini was the Molecular Marketing Manager for Ventana Medical Systems.
Prior to Ventana, Mr. Gasparini was the Assistant Director of the Cytogenetics Laboratory for the Prenatal Diagnostic Center an affiliate of Mass General Hospital and part of Harvard University. While at the Prenatal Diagnostic Center, Mr. Gasparini was also an Adjunct Professor at Harvard University.

Mr. Gasparini is a licensed Clinical Laboratory Director and an accomplished author in the field of Cytogenetics and FISH. He received his BS degree from University of Connecticut in Biological Sciences and his Master of Health Science degree from Quinnipiac University in Laboratory Administration.

Steven C. Jones
Executive Vice President, Finance

Mr. Jones has served as a director and Chief Financial Officer since October 2003. He is Chairman of the Board of Aspen Capital Group, a diversified financial services firm. He also serves as managing member of the general partner of Aspen Select Healthcare, LP, a private equity fund established to make investments in the healthcare industry.
Prior to that, Mr. Jones was a chief financial officer at various public and private companies and was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch & Co. Mr. Jones received his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1985 and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1991.

Grant Carlson
Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

Mr. Carlson brings over 20 years of industry experience to NeoGenomics. Mr. Carlson has extensive expertise in general management, corporate and business development, product development, product launch, and sales and marketing across multiple markets including-- laboratory services, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals and genomic discovery services.
Mr. Carlson was President, CEO and Founder of Calgenex Corporation, a privately held nutraceutical and personal care products company, developing nutraceutical and OTC drug products for the cardiovascular market. Prior to Calgenex, Mr. Carlson served as President and COO of Nanobac Pharmaceuticals, an emerging pharmaceutical and diagnostics company with laboratory/offices in Tampa, Florida and Kuopio, Finland and NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. Prior to this, Mr. Carlson was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Agilix Corporation, a functional genomics company developing gene expression and protein profiling technologies for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Prior to this, Mr. Carlson served as Vice President of Marketing, Technology and Business Development for DIANON Systems, Inc., a leading national anatomic pathology company. During his 12 years at Dianon, Mr. Carlson held senior positions in marketing, business development, technology development and sales.

Mr. Carlson is co-inventor on five U.S. patents involving free-PSA and the diagnosis of prostate cancer and four patent applications around various drug compositions. He has authored several scientific papers in the areas of oncology, urology and diagnostic pathology. He holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

George Cardoza
Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Cardoza joined NeoGenomics in November 2009. He has over 25 years of financial experience including his most recent position as Chief Financial Officer of Protocol Global Solutions.
Prior to that Mr. Cardoza spent 15 years with Quest Diagnostics where he held several positions, including his last position as Controller of the Central Region. In that role he oversaw eleven major laboratories across the southeast and central United States.
