Genetic Pathology Solutions (GPS)

Designed By Pathologists For Pathologists

Genetic Pathology Solutions (GPS) is a medically driven testing option which allows the hematopathologist the ability to add or delete testing based upon medical necessity. GPS is a comprehensive diagnostic tool incorporating different methodologies to deliver one diagnosis....

Flow Cytometry

Flow Cytometry is an a rapid way to measure the characteristics of individual cells. Hematopoietics cells(blood, bone marrow, core biopsies and quantified according to their surface antigens....

Cytogenetics

A wide variety of abnormalities can be identified, providing both diagnostic and prognostic information. Acute leukemias, lymphomas and chronic myeloid and lymphoid disorders are examined cytogenetically in order to establish the exact nature of the acquired genetic change.

FISH

Fluorescence in situ Hybridization (FISH) can help identify subtle structural rearrangements, variant chromosomes, and (sub-microscopic changes) not readily discernable by classic cytogenetics. FISH relies on three technologies: cytogenetics, DNA hybridization and fluorescence microscopy to provide another level of laboratory testing.
FISH utilizes DNA probes comprised of specific nucleic acid sequences tagged with a fluorescent marker.
FISH testing can be ordered by FISH probe, gene or in disease-specific FISH panel.

Molecular

Please call NeoGenomics Laboratories Customer Care Representative to discuss all of your cancer molecular needs including JAK2, quantitative RT-PCR for BCR/ABL, PML/RARA, AML/ETO, B & T cell gene rearrangement testing , and others.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry or IHC refers to the process of localizing proteins in cells of a tissue section exploiting the principle of antibodies binding specifically to antigens in biological tissues. Immunohistochemical staining is widely used in the diagnosis of abnormal cells such as those found in cancerous tumors. Specific molecular markers are characteristic of particular cellular events such as proliferation or cell death (apoptosis). IHC is also widely used in basic research to understand the distribution and localization of biomarkers and differentially expressed proteins in different parts of a biological tissue....

* NeoGenomics Laboratories does not currently offer any testing on specimens that are neurological in origin (i.e., brain) and therefore might be subject to contamination by Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
For any such specimens that may be received by our laboratory, it is our policy to immediately send the specimen directly back to the client from which it was received.
